CHINTAKAYLA RAVI WILL BEGIN SHORTLY
Monday, March 10, 2008Mamata Mohandas, Anushka with Venkatesh in chintakayala ravi
It is a norm in Telugu for all leading heroes to have more than one heroine in the film. So, in keeping with the tradition, Venkatesh’ 'Chintakayala Ravi – Software Engineer' too has two heroines.
While Charmme was a strong contender till recently, finally Mamata Mohandas has been confirmed for the role.
The Aakaleste girl is much in demand ever since she started acting along with singing. The film has just been formally launched and the first schedule will begin from Mar

IDHI SANGATHI MOVIEW REVIEW
Story:
Idhi Sangathi is all about greedy nature of people right from a common man to Prime minister. When Mumbai express met with an accident Crime reporter of a daily Murthy(Abbas) &his colleague, friend Neeladri(Sunil) grabs the gold ornaments&two suitcases from the dead bodies and distribute among themselves.Murthy handsover the suitcase&gold to his wife Swarajya Lakshmi(Tabu),who desperately wanto to become rich.Actually the suitcase consists of diamonds worth Rs.500Crores and it belongs to Prime minster(Kota Srinivasarao). And right from the local police, thieves to DIG&Prime minister wants to know the whereabouts of the diamonds and wanna own them. What happened next is the remaining story.
Highlights:
Director Chandra Sidhartha tried to present this satirical drama with style.written by eminent journalist K.N.Y.Pathanjali,the movie plot is good &the charecters are just like the people we come across in everyday life.
Tabu lives up to another impressive role and delivers a noteworthy performance.
Cinematography by Gummadi Jayakrishna is impressive.
Sidelights:
The screenplay lacks pace. This kind of plot needs a Priyadarsan kind of treatment .The narrative style the director has choosen is new to our audience and it appeals only to a narrowest niche among the audience. For common audience, the film looks boring most of the time.

KRISHNARJUNA MOVIE REVIEW
Story: A mad woman(Surekha vani)dies after giving birth to a child in the temple. Her mother(Manorama)takes care of the child and names him Arjun.Arjun(Vishnu) is an innocent &jovial guy and a firm believer of Lord Krishna. He&his grand mom work for Pedha babu(Nasser).Pedhababu has a sister Satya(Mamata Mohandas) and she got engaged to a wealth man.According to Satya's horoscope the first man who marry her will die soon.So without telling the truth they force Arjun to marry Satya and immediately after the marriage they try to kill him.Arjun's grand mom dies after seeing this incident and Arjun also want to die. Then enters Lord Krishna..the favourite god of Arjun. How Krishna changes Arjun's life is the rest of the story.
Highlights:
The Basic plot is inspired by Jim Carrey's Bruce Almighty and the director(P.Vasu)added our very own Navarasalu to that plot.
Nagarjuna looks cool as Lord Krishna in casual dressing.Vishnu suited well as innocent and jovial Arjun.Their performances are the main strength of the film.
Music director Keeravani has given impressive background score but the songs are not upto the mark.
Brahmanandam,Bhuvaneswari's comedy track goes well with the masses.MS Narayana,Sunil,Venumadhav acted in minor charecters generating few laughs.
Mamata Mohandas is Ok.She has done a role of headstrong gal always seen in glamourous outfits.
Sidelights:
It's an old fashioned Drama.too much of drama indeed.
Director failed to maintain the tempo. He failed to recreate the fun and feel of Bruce Almighty. He blindly copied the getups(including the begger getup) of Morgan Freeman from Bruce Almighty even though unnecessary.
Etc..,Etc..,
Mohan babu did a small role as Saibaba styled Fakhir.
Vishnu's brother Manoj sung a song Yamaranju meeda undhi Punju(a remix of Mohanbabu's Rowdy gari Pellam)
Public Talk:good.Watchable only for Nag&Vishnu
Industry Talk:hit

KRISHNARJUNA MOVIE REVIEW
KRISHNARJUNA MOVIE REVIEW
Film : Krishnarjuna
Rating :
Music : MM Keeravani.
Direction : P.Vasu
Theatrical Release : January 26, 2008
Krishnarjuna is based on Bruce Almighty, where Vishnu plays Jim Carreys role and Nagarjuna is God. Now that the spoiler has been delivered, lets move on to the music composed by MM Keeravani. Lot of the numbers are situational, and there are a lot of songs to begin with-8 in all! Not Keeravanis best, though.
Thhruvata Baba Tippu renders this tongue-twister penned by Jonnavithula. The song is about the power that the singer has acquired or has already. It is not harsh on the ears, and goes on smoothly. It is a situational number, and will perhaps have an interesting picturization to accompany the song. A decent start to the album. **
Yamaranju Meeda This is a fast-paced dance number with Manchu Manojkumar lending his voice, teaming up with Tippu and Sunitha. It comes under the broad bracket of Keeravani Mass, which makes it enjoyable-but the original track has been composed by Bappi Lahiri. The composition and the vocals are a highlight for the peppy number. Manoj does a good job with the wordings and stays in tune. ***
Nagarjuna and VishnuAaa Eeee Shankar Mahadevans solo with lyrics by Ramajogayya Shastri is another situational number that describes the power that the singers got. The song has strong vocals by Mahadevan, especially towards the end with the lines Main Hoon Naa coming up repetitively. With an active chorus and focus on the rhythm, the song is hummable. **.75
Pedda Marrikemo This time its the turn of Nagur Babu along with Madhubala Krishnan to playback for this relatively softer beat. It is a tuneful number, but lacks freshness. Weve heard this one before several times, so it is old news albeit mellow. **.75
Buggalerrabadda MM Keeravani adds his voice to his composition along with Mamta Mohandas. The duet has good vocals and chorus. Essentially a dance number, the song spells youth without sounding western. Its a fun number that grows on you after a couple of clicks of the rewind button. It has a mischievous sounding beat and the playback lends the extra flavor to it. ***
Aaja Mehabooba The moment it starts, the Arabic influence hits you. Achu and Geetha Madhuri sing Sahitis lyrics with much gusto. The bass guitar used is an asset for an otherwise usual fare. **.5
Edi Manchi Edi Maila The song somehow reminds you of another of Keeravanis intense numbers-the title track in Chatrapati. But the resemblance is only in the beginning and the mood of the song. Madhubala Krishnans voice is striking and heavy. This might be used in the background or in a situation; either ways it is a good composition, but the song that will skip the party compilations. ***
We R Coming Remember Muddimandi..O Chamanti.. (Allari Mogudu)? Well, this composition by Achu starts off with that. It is basically a Tinglish composition. With a number of singers, it sounds like a hip-hop song with the guy at the DJ console gone a little tipsy and mixing away to glory. **.75

SWAGATHAM MOVIE REVIEW
Story:
Sailu(Anushka) lives in U.S. with her mom and the only son of her deceased sister. She runs a garment store.Single dad KK (Jagapathi babu) opens another shop infront of Sailu's.KK Changes Sailu's attitude towards life&people.Gradually She falls in love with him.She comes to know KK's wife is dead and expresses her interest to marry him.KK reveals the truth that his wife is alive and he loves her a lot.Who is she?where is she?Why he is away from his beloved wife? is the remaining story.
Highlights:
The movie has loads of sentiment with a good dose of Comedy.
Jagapathi babu role of KK has various dimensions as age bar bachelor,a loving husband and a caring father. He excelled in every aspect and did justice to his role.
After Missamma, though Bhumika has done many performance oriented roles ,one can say Swagatham is the best of them all.Bhumika has done an excellent job.
The best part of the movie is the flashback episode of Jagapathi babu&Bhumika in the second half.writer-director Dasarath handled it very well.
Except Brahmanandam all the comedians are present in the movie.Comedy is good at parts.
Anushka is ok.
Sidelights:
Dasaradh attempted to recreate the magic of Santosham again with a similar plot in a different backdrop but he didn't succeed much.
Screenplay(GopiMohan&Dasaradh) has many pitfalls.
The movie is dull in the first half and has a predictable climax.
Public Talk:FAMILY ENTERTAINER.

VAANA MOVIE REVIEW
Story:
Abhi(Vinay) falls in love with Nandini(Meera Chopra)at first sight and also falls in a man hole!Abhi tries to find her but fail to locate her.He along with his mom(Jayasudha)leaves to his mom's best friend Bharati aunty's(Seeta)place for attending her daughter's wedding.Abhi finds Nandini there and she is non other than the bride, the only daughter of Bharati aunty. After sometime Nandini also falls in love with Abhi and she is ready to marry him. Will Abhi go ahead with Nandini or not is the remaining story.
Highlights:
Vinay, the chocolate faced guy of Neevalle Neevalle appears in a different getup, with a rough beard in this movie. His performance is good and natural. But the dubbing didn't suits him well and some times it gives us a feeling as if we are watching a dubbing film.
The movie is picturised mostly in picturisque hilly areas with fog & rain and the Cinematography by Sekhar V. Joseph is simply superb.
Producer MS Raju debuted as director with this film.He excelled in parts and on the whole he fails to replicate the original feel of Mungaru male.
Music by Kamalakar is good.
Meera Chopra is just ok.
Instead of making it like an epic love story of more than 3hours,the director have chosen to finish it up within 2.5 hours.
Last but not the least, the movie has a message for last minute lovers.
Sidelights:
Vaana is the remake of Kannada industry hit Mungaru male.Except climax, the story is nothing new to Telugu audience.
The movie is very slow.First half is ok but the second half is a bit boring.
Uncles batch(Suman,Paruchuri Venkateswara rao,Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam) generates few laughs but overall there isn't much entertainment.
Public Talk:Just an Okay flick.Watchable if tragic love stories are okay with you.
Industry Talk:Hardly it will be an average grosser.Let's wait and see if it can spell magic at the box office just like the original.

Story:
Paandu(Suman)is the right hand of Zaheer Bhai(Nazer) and firmly believes only Bhai can do justice to the Public and not the System(Police and Judiciary). His son Ajay(Sumanth),an IAS aspirant believes the other way. Both the father and son have their own reasons to support their beliefs and they strictly oppose each other.Suddenly Bhai reveals his original face,he joins hands with Rival(Kasi)and Dubai based Ansari for drug trafficing.Paandu warns him and leaves him ,and immediately the syndicate kills him.Now which way Ajay chooses to avenge his father's murder ,and how he succeed is the rest of the story.
Highlights:
Sumanth looks at his best.Sumanth suited weill for the role of calm going IAS aspirant who turns violent when something happen to his own people.Sumanth has given very subtle performance.
Suman is very good as a caring father and rebellious side kick of a don.
Kajal is cute and apt for the bubbly Samyuktha role.
Debutant director Raj Aditya is brilliant in technicalities. He selected a sensible storyline and employed the perfect cast.
Cinematography( Sudhakar Yakkanti )is very good.
Sidelights:
The movie has a good storyline but the narration is very slow.First half is Ok but second half is a bit boring.
Though the movie has Brahmanandam,Ali,Sunil,Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam,Raghu babu comedy is very less.Ali done a 2 in 1 charecter similar to Chirutha and he falls in love with all the men he come across.
Music(Manisarma)is just Okay
Public Talk: Average.
Industry Talk:The movie is made on a low budget and commercially it has chances to be on the positive side.

Highlights:
Balakrishna played dual role in this film as Old man Okka Magadu and young leader of masses Veera Venkata Satyanarayana swamy alias Satyam babu.He looks at his best with neat hair stlye and great costumes in the young charecter.Old charecter has a special makeup which didn't suit him well. His performace is Good.
Simran's getup&performance as the old lady is good but her dubbing is awkward in emotional scenes.
Nisha Kothari & Anushka didn't has much scope to perform. They are only meant for songs and double meaning dialogues.
Music(Mani Sarma) and Lyrics(Chandrabose) are of top class.
Costumes,sets(Anand Sai) are good.
Sidelgihts:
YVS Chowdary is successful only in showing Balakrishna with a neat hairdo and designer costumes. But he failed completely as a writer&director. The story is cliche.Screenplay is silly.Nothing is convincing.Nothing is original in the movie,Even a kid can say it is a kichidi of of Sardar Paparayudu,Bharateeyudu,The Patriot,Kill Bill .Except a couple of scenes the movie tests your patience.
Public Talk: Bad,a huge Disappointment .
Industry Talk: Flop.

Highlights:
Raviteja was once again cast in his trademark reckless youth who irks villains. He is perfect as Bezawada Bewarse.Energitic performance by Raviteja.
VV Vinyak delivered a perfect entertainer this time.Though the story is routine and predictable the way he presented the subject is interesting and entertaining. You never get bored.Though there are couple of scenes with Vinayak mark Sumo blasts & Lorry Blasts, the movie has much entertainment than action.
Brahmandam's performance as Bobby who had an illicit affair with his servant maid is hilarious. His next best performance after Dhee in recent times.
MS Narayana comedy in the second half is good.
Venumadhav,Sunil,Jayaprakashreddy did justice to their roles.
Dialouges by Akula Siva are very good.
Trisha is apt for her role.
Sidelights:
Story is pretty routine.
Songs are ok,nothing special about them.
Public Talk:Good entertainer,worth watching.
Industry Talk:Manchi Hit.
